I never forget anything. Here's how...
Ok I lied. I forget a LOT of things.
To-do's, I'm good at. I have a whole system - written notebook, to-do app on phone, etc.
The things I forget though, are the ideas. Thoughts. The stuff I don't necessarily want to put on my to-do list, but might want to remember later. Stuff like ideas for emails I want to write, or restaurants I want to check out, or books I want to read.
This stuff usually comes to me when I'm not on my computer or have my notebook handy. Like when I'm on a run, or driving.
So I set up an easy way to log it all. On my phone (iPhone, but I'm sure android has it's equivalent), I used the Shortcuts app (comes on all the phones) to make a shortcut, so when I press the button on the side of my phone, it pulls up a voice recorder that once I tap to end, it types it into my "Idea pad" note and dates it. So now I have a long-running note that has all the random ideas on, that I can go back to when I want to remember something.
I know this is small, but hey, that's where the idea for this email came from. Here's a screenshot of how it's setup in the Shortcuts app. Let me know if I can help!
