I rode in a driverless, steeringwheelless car.

Here in Austin we aren't just the capital of everything great in America, we’re also the capital of  driverless taxis.  Now you’ve probably all ridden or seen the Waymo’s by now, those little white cars w/ that spinning thing on top of it.  That was a pretty weird experience when I first tried it - especially seeing the steering wheel turn all by itself.  (If you want to see my short vid on that, click here)

Well, I had a new experience last week when I tried one of those strange golden cybercabs.  This car had no driver AND no steering wheel or pedals.  It definitely felt weird, and although it wasn’t the best ride in the world (it took us on a route that didn’t make sense and took twice as long) I couldn’t help but wonder if these kind of rides are our future.
